Rev. Michael Clark |
Michael was born and was raised in the St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Madison, TN. Growing up next door to the church, Michael was involved in the youth programs of the church and loved the camping experience where he first began to wrestle with his call to ministry. Answering that call, Michael changed his major from Pre-Law to Religion and graduated from Bethel College with a Bachelor of Arts. Following college Michael began at Memphis Theological Seminary and graduated with his Master’s of Divinity in 1998. Michael has worked in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church since he was eighteen and has served ordained pastorates at the Lebanon and Cookeville Cumberland Presbyterian Churches as well as the Campus Minister for the Presbyterian Student Association at Tennessee Technological University. Michael met his wife Amber at the Presbyterian Youth Triennium in 2004 and they were married in November of 2005. Recently Michael has gone back to school to work on his Doctorate of Ministry Degree and is currently half way through the program. When not reading and doing research for his doctoral work, Michael enjoys going to the movies, drawing, antique hunting (or as he grew up calling it…junking), reading, and wood-working when there is time. Michael is always up for some good Bar-B-Q and, if it qualifies as a favorite restaurant, a trip through the line at Starbucks for a coffee. You might see him riding around with a furry companion, that’s just Emma, his wire-haired Terrier enjoying the wind in her face. Michael and Amber are looking forward to being with you in August and can’t wait to get on to doing the work of God in the Ft. Worth area. |
