W.E."Eddie" Jenkins Pastor |
The Reverend Eddie Jenkins accepted the call to become the pastor of St. Luke in December, 1996. He has been a pastor and preacher of the Gospel since 1976. He and his wife of 36 years, Brenda, are natives of Birmingham, Alabama. They moved to Fort Worth following a 7-year pastorate at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Florence, Alabama. The Reverend Jenkins is a graduate of Bethel College in McKenzie, Tennessee, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English & Psychology and Secondary School Teacher's Certification in Bible and English. He did graduate work at Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee, graduating in 1984 with a Master of Divinity degree and was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in March of that year. In addition to Florence, Alabama, he has served as pastor of churches in his hometown of Birmingham; Paducah, Kentucky; Henderson, Tennessee; and Stevenson, Alabama. He taught 9th and 12th Grade English for 5 years at Chester County High School in Henderson, Tennessee. The Jenkins have two children, a daughter who lives in Louisville, Kentucky, and a son, Matt, who graduated from Crowley High School in 1999, and is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force stationed in Grand Forks, North Dakota. |
Earnestine Walker |
Earnestine is the Business Administrator/Secretary for St. Luke. She is responsive to all Boards and/or Committees for administrative support. Her duties include performing all bookkeeping and accounting procedures. She also prepares the weekly newsletter, bulletins, and coordinate scheduled events. She and her husband, Vincent, have two children, Diandria and Christopher. Earnestine has been employed at St. Luke since January of 2001. |
Ray Bargas |
Ray
became
the Youth Director at St. Luke Church in July 2003 and he has been
active in youth work here for more than three years. Also, he is
currently serving as the Contemporary Worship Director (acting). |

Sherry Erickson |
Sherry Erickson is the Director of Christian Education. She is dedicated to the Christian nurturing of St. Luke Church. Her responsibilities are to coordinate Sunday School classes for all ages, Logos, our Wednesday night program for Grades 1-12, P.O.P. (Pointe of Praise), Sycamore Pointe Apartments Bible Study, Men's, Women's and Young Adults Bible Study Groups, Vacation Bible School, and Bethel Bible classes. She established the children's worship program called W.O.W. (Worship Our Way) for ages 4 through Grade 4. Sherry is married to Gary and they have 3 children, Greg, Leslie and Emily. They have been members of the St. Luke family for 11 years. |
Ron Matthews |
Ron Matthews is the Minister of Music at St. Luke Cumberland Church. Ron directs the Chancel Choir and oversees the music program for the church. He is a graduate of Southwestern Texas State University and holds a Master of Music Education degree. Ron is the founder and director of the Alta Mesa Chorale, a community chorus based in Southwest Fort Worth. Under Ron's direction the Chorale has presented concerts throughout the United States and several foreign countries including singing at Carnegie Hall in New York, National Cathedral in Washington, DC, St Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church in San Francisco and Southwark Cathedral in London, England. Ron also directs the choral music program for Southwest Christian High School. Under his direction the Concert Choir has won several superior performance awards. He and his wife Gina have one child, Meagan, who attends Southwest Christian School. Ron joined the staff at St. Luke in August 1999. |
Pat Huff |
Pat Huff organized the handbell choir at St. Luke in 1985 and is a member of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers. Pat is an active elder, sings in the choir and leads the Worship and Works ministry. Pat has a Bachelor's Degree in psychology from Texas Christian University, teacher certification from Midwestern State University, and a Master's Degree in Education from Tarleton State University with certifications in mid-management and supervision. She teaches 4th grade science at Eagle Mountain Elementary School. She also received the PTA Life Professional Award. Pat was the second woman elected to the TCU Ex-Bandsmen Hall of Fame and received the God and Service Award for service to youth from the Boy Scouts and St. Luke. |
Jeanelle Roberts |
Jeanelle has been the organist at St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church since she joined as a charter member in 1964. She has been a church organist for 54 years. Jeanelle is a graduate of Arlington State University and North Texas State University and has done post-graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She has also served as director of children's work, Bible study leader and Sunday School Teacher. Jeanelle is an active leader in the Logos Program and is the Memorial Fund secretary. |

Marilyn began studying piano at the age of five, and has been a church musician since she was sixteen. Marilyn has played for many churches, choirs, schools and universities, as well as accompanied solo musicians at various competitions. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in piano performance and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance. She is the controller for Electro Acoustics & Video, an audio/video systems designer and integrator. Marilyn and her husband Brad were married in 1987. |
